The Computational Memory Lab is currently seeking applications for the following positions:

Research Coordinator

The Computational Memory Laboratory at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Arts and Sciences is seeking to recruit a full-time research coordinator to assist the Principal Investigator (PI) with essential research operations in the laboratory, coordinating activities across several federally-funded research grants.

The coordinator will work directly with the PI, helping to enhance his effectiveness by providing management support for his numerous projects and by representing him and acting on his behalf in interactions with funding agencies, university administrators, lab personnel, and colleagues and collaborators at varied academic and medical organizations. Key responsibilities include assisting with preparation of scientific manuscripts, presentations, grant applications, progress reports, figures and tables; helping to organize an annual scientific conference, coordinating visits of outside visitors, helping to manage collaborations across multiple research sites in the US and abroad. This position will provide the successful candidate the opportunity to act as the “right hand” to an academic leader who values focus, dedication, and hard work. The successful candidate will join a team of research scientists including postdoctoral researchers, PhD students, and post-baccalaureate researchers. This would be an ideal position for someone interested in ultimately pursuing graduate training in cognitive neuroscience, medicine, or psychology. The successful candidate will join a team of research scientists studying the ways in which the brain stores and retrieves verbal and spatial memories.

Major responsibilities include carrying out experiments on human memory by means of high-density scalp EEG recordings and annotating vocal responses in memory tasks. This position requires an individual who possesses excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. This would be an ideal position for a student interested in cognitive neuroscience, medicine, psychology, or bioengineering.
