Memory has recently emerged as an important theoretical framework for thinking about wide-ranging problems in economics and decision sciences. To foster greater interdisciplinary interaction among economists and memory scientists, we have organized a workshop/symposium on Memory, Beliefs and Choice to be held on Friday, June 2, 2023, in conjunction with the annual Context and Episodic Memory symposium.

Memory has recently emerged as an important theoretical framework for thinking about wide-ranging problems in economics and decision sciences. MBC*2023 will bring together leading economists, experimental psychologists, and memory theorists for in-depth discussion of current topics at the nexus of these disciplines. The symposium will feature paired presentations by economists and memory scientists, with the paired talks going beyond the format of a traditional paper / discussion in providing the depth in each field required to have a vigorous discussion. We welcome participation of the CEMS community in the MBC symposium.

Revision as of 20:20, 30 January 2023

Memory has recently emerged as an important theoretical framework for thinking about wide-ranging problems in economics and decision sciences. MBC*2023 will bring together leading economists, experimental psychologists, and memory theorists for in-depth discussion of current topics at the nexus of these disciplines. The symposium will feature paired presentations by economists and memory scientists, with the paired talks going beyond the format of a traditional paper / discussion in providing the depth in each field required to have a vigorous discussion. We welcome participation of the CEMS community in the MBC symposium.

MBC*2023 will be held at the Disney Grand Floridian Resport in Orlando, Florida on June 2nd, 2023.

The planned schedule is forthcoming.
